Since she lived on the Upper East Side a child - the city holds a certain spot for her -as it does for so many of us! There are so many special finds in this city; each neighborhood has its own storied past, ever changing present and certainly bright future.
Having developed educational walking tours and talks focusing on the vast and varied neighborhoods of Manhattan, Laura was able to explore and discover the wonders of the city! From the East Side enclaves of Tudor City, Turtle Bay and Beekman to the West Side splendors blending the old and new to the Gallery District in Chelsea, Flatiron and Gramercy and of course the Greenwich Village. There are so many distinct neighborhoods; each with their own character. The beauty of New York is you can make it your own and you can make it your home.
Laura is invested in the city and she brings her immense enthusiasm and intricate knowledge of Manhattan neighborhoods to each client. From securing reliable tenants to working with investors, first-time buyers, sellers and seasoned city dwellers; Laura is devoted to meeting the needs of her clients. Laura’s clients are assured by her easy and open “can-do” approach, follow-through and delivery.
“What impresses me most about Laura is always available and ready. I listed our Apartment with Laura because we saw that she has a knack for communication and making the deal work. She brought me a very good offer within a few short weeks,” a resident owner in the Gramercy area noted.
“I had challenging requirements when I was looking to buy an apartment, and Laura was able to quickly find a number of properties that suited my needs,” said her client, who purchased in the Flat Iron district. “Laura was incredibly attentive and delightful to work with. She turned what could have been a stressful experience into one that was fun and easy.”
Among Laura’s other clients include investors and entrepreneurs who are looking, as are we all, for the best deal. One such client remarked, “I saw Ms. Burdette in action; I saw how she sized up a room in an instant; I saw that her instincts were right on target and her knowledge and confidence were strong. I could not be happier with the work she has done for me in helping me find a great condo. Furthermore, Laura has an eye for design and was quite instrumental helping me with my renovations, which has turned out absolutely beautiful!"
Prior to working in the Real Estate field, Laura worked at South Street Seaport Museum where she cultivated relationships with many Manhattan museums and cultural institutions developing educational week-long programs focusing on the theatre, culture and history of New York City, conducting Salons at Sea aboard the grand ocean liners Queen Elizabeth 2 and Queen Mary 2 for trans-Atlantic voyages en route to London, as well as capturing the local fare of Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Block Island and delving into the majesty of the Hudson River Valley.
Laura holds a Master’s Degree in Education from American University, a Bachelor's Degree in English from UMASS, Boston.
